The Agreements
Three different collective agreements apply according to the type of production and media used.
1. All productions using film stock, except for commercials, are subject to the Film Media Agreement :
2. All productions using video, digital or any electronic media, except for commercials, are subject to the Video, Electronic or H D Media Agreement :
3. All advertising productions are
subject to the Advertising Agreement regardless of media used

4. Scale agreement between the National Film Board of Canada (NFB) and the Alliance québécoise des techniciens de l'image et du son (AQTIS)
The Application
These agreements may be used for any productions, in one of the following ways:

Becoming a Permittee member of the Québec Film and T V Producers Association (APFTQ) which provides for using without further negotiation, effective collective agreements between APFTQ and AQTIS. Also gives full access to AP F TQ support in all matters regarding productions.

Negotiating for a fee, directly with AQTI S, a Special Agreement, Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) or amendments to effective agreements between APFTQ and AQTIS, according to specific needs, without becoming member of the producers association. Fee is based on payroll of the production.

Pay Rates displayed in all three agreements should be seen as minimum rates subject to individual negotiations with each technician.
